The information on the Repsol portal is now accessible to all types of users, including those with some degree of disability.

The Repsol portal has been designed with cutting-edge techniques and international accessibility guidelines that make navigation easy for all types of users.

These measures include:

  • Keyboard navigation without a mouse.
  • Interpretation of graphic resources, which makes it possible to understand all the details contained in the pages, including images, tables, and other HTML elements.
  • Clarification of the destination of links or hyperlinks.
  • Visualization of all the contents, even in browsers that do not support CSS, plugins, etc.

Keyboard navigation:

The Repsol portal accessibility project allows all types of users to access any part of the portal by simply using the computer keyboard.

Interpretation of the graphic resources:

Images, banners, and even tables published in the Repsol portal include a description that facilitates understanding of the information contained in these graphic resources.

Therefore, it is possible to know what image accompanies a content, what products or ideas are promoted by the different banners, and what data are provided in the tables.

Links:

Most of the portal links include an explanation of their destination and provide information as to whether they will open in a new window.

Browsers that do not support CSS or plugins:

If the user accesses the portal via a browser that does not support CSS, the structural mark-up will ensure that all the content is correctly displayed.

Furthermore, alternative content to Flash movies and Java applets have been included.

  • Compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), Intermediate Level (AA). Accessible Content Guidelines for Web 1.0 The accessibility levels are in the process of obtaining official certification.
  • The layout is based on the W3C Recommendation on Cascading Style Sheets, Level 2.
  • The recommended standard for HTM code has been used.
