At Repsol, we ensure integrity in the relationships the Company maintains with its suppliers and contractors. These companies must comply with regulations in effect regarding labor law, safety and environment, and hygiene.
In addition, we extend the values that govern our behavior to the actions of our suppliers and contractors. All of the companies that maintain a contractual relationship with us must abide by the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct for Suppliers throughout the duration of the contract.
We strive to build honest relationships with our suppliers, based on mutual respect and trust as well as on the quality of the products and services they offer us. To ensure that these relationships are successful, we established a qualification system which guarantees compliance with our company's guidelines in terms of economic and financial, ethical, social, safety and environmental aspects.
This code defines the conduct guidelines that companies working as suppliers must follow in terms of five different aspects: human rights, current legislation, ethical behavior and measures against corruption and bribery, safety and environment, and confidentiality.
If you have not had a prior business relationship with us and are interested in becoming part of our team as a supplier, you will first have to complete a questionnaire. With this information, we will analyze whether you meet the minimum requirements to collaborate with us.
If information you provide is of interest to us, we will begin the rating process or, otherwise, your request will be put on file to cover possible future needs.
Repsol has a set of standards and a management system for the supply chain that ensure the integrity of the relationships the company maintains with its more than 20,000 suppliers.
Depending on the country, Repsol has specific General Contracting and Purchasing Terms and Conditions.
For that reason, at Repsol, we focus on and monitor these aspects using different tools.
After our suppliers have passed the rating process and have a high level of criticality, we evaluate their performance by carrying out audits through specialized companies. According to our regulations, it is required to carry out a minimum of one performance assessment per year, in which aspects such as quality, management, safety and the environment are evaluated.
On the other hand, in terms of safety, our commitment to people and environmental protection is also extended to our suppliers. It involves all parties in the safety policy to avoid any risky situations to the fullest extent possible.
To do this, we have fostered a culture that we share through informational, training, and awareness-raising programs. Moreover, these sessions have been intensified with the goal of reducing workplace accidents and optimizing supplier safety.
